It was very exciting to hear that Yusuf / Cat Stevens had recorded a new album, even better that we could make the radio special. I grew up hearing his voice almost every day, left a big impression. This new set fit right in, his strong voice with songs about love, struggle, and really funky versions of "Big Boss Man" and "You Are My Sunshine" featuring the incredible Tinariwen - if you don't know them, try. I didn't get to interview Yusuf / Cat Stevens, just submitted questions, but I felt very close to this one.
